Our Journey

The inception of Times Foundation took place back in 2000, when the initiative was set up as a catalyst to sustainable development and transformational change towards a better India by creating a positive social impact in the society. Times Foundation focuses on various facets of development including Disaster Management, Skill Development, Health, Education, Women Empowerment, Spiritual Wellness, and Environment. Times Foundation believes that progress of any kind is only possible through a steady and overall growth. In tandem with this perspective, the Foundation has initiated and been part of various developmental projects which work to counter and eradicate undesirable social conditions like unemployment and malnutrition, among others. Through its spiritual healing programmes like ‘Sach Bharat’, it has been imperative in inculcating work-life balance among adults. With progressing years this initiative by the Times group has only got bigger and better. The massive response received during its ‘India for Kerala’ outreach programme for the lives affected by the Kerala floods is perhaps the result of Times Foundation’s constant focus on disaster management and relief work since its very beginning. Whether it was the Tsunami in Chennai or the earthquake in Jammu and Kashmir, the Foundation has always provided relief in such cases and successfully completed rehabilitation projects for the survivors. It has also largely contributed to the welfare of the environment and sustainable development by creating over twenty-five check dams in the districts of Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Two Guinness World Records have been set by the Foundation for largest CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training and Dental Screening programme.
